Minted for Spring!
The Mint may need to print more notes, but labels such as Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs, Acne and numerous others showed collections during Fashion Weeks focussed on mint fresh pieces. Not certain how we feel about this but feel sure we will come to love them!

The Last Word on London Fashion Week
The Last Word on LFW: Israeli designer Inbar Spector showed a fantasy collection as part of the Vauxhall fashion group combining theatre with a touch of violence. Although designers in the main showed caution - clothes to invest in rather than parade in - Spector produced a theatrical collection: complex constructions, crinolines, and corsets with rich fabrics and intellectual sophistication.

The End of London Fashion Week
Much as we LURVE fashion, LFW is exhausting! Too many shows, too may people, not enough consistency BUT ... one or two favourites including Mary Katrantazou (hope I've spelt it correctly!). Print is her forte and for next season she demonstrates she is the queen of mixmatched prints. Six months to take a break before the next one ...
Fishing for Gold with Mark Fast
Posted by The Fashion Bloggers on behalf of Krisp
Slinky flesh toned fishnet dresses with fringing set the tone of the Mark Fast show. Bra tops and fitted fringed skirts in soft yellows and tangerines could well be a hit combination for SS12. Altogether a slick and interesting show taking 'knitwear' to another level.

Matthew Williamson lights up London Fashion Week
Posted by The Fashion Bloggers on behalf of Krisp
Laid low with a bug I could only catch up on yesterday's catwalk shows today. Looking at the slideshows it is Matthew Willaimson who has caught my eye. The catwalk lit up with colour and sex appeal, with hints of the Japanese influence he has been inspired by - obi belts and delicate patterns. This was a distinctly adult collection. Not so much Ibiza, more Monte Carlo. Photos taken from Vogue.com

Leg it to London Fashion Week
Bebaroque, who recently won the Scottish Accessory Designer of the Year accolade at the Scottish Fashion Awards, collaborated with PPQ to produce the exciting legwear for PPQ's catwalk show at LFW on Friday. Will we all be wearing these in the Spring?

Less is More from Jasper at Day 2 LFW

Fluid cuts, flowing silks: black, cream, fiery orange and a muted cerise with two graphic prints. Pure Jasper. Loved the flat Perspex sandals and shoulder bags.

A Riot of Print from Ashish at LFW Day 2
Posted by The Fashion Bloggers on behalf of Krisp
Prints prints prints - giant sunflowers combined with zebra stripes, oversized rose gardens with animal print, outsized florals on black, on white on grey on checks and all sparkly with a metallic glint. Ashish hit the catwalk with a collection that is reminiscent of Kenzo, a riot of colour on loose fit shorts and T-shirts, pyjama trousers and shift dresses and then translated into slinky, sexy slip and evening dresses: the best of East meets West.

PPQ & Ann-Sofie Back at London Fashion Week Day 1
The PPQ showing was fun, young and raunchy, designed for a more experimental client. A Chanel style piece kicked off the show but was soon followed with Rock 'n Roll styled denim shorts and jeans (find the affordable versions at Krisp), loud in-yer-face prints. Browns and blacks were brightened up with a few peppermints - a definite trend for 2012 - plus strappy backed dresses.
Ann-Sofie Back showed a pared down monochrome (in the main) collection mixing blacks with browns and creams and the occassional rose pink thrown in as a nod to Spring. One of the cool white dresses from Krisp would slip easily onto the catwalk alongside this collection.

The Twins Felder & Felder WOW LFW on Day 1
Wow! This was a grown up and slick show - modern, sexy, cool. Elegant dresses in silks and chiffons in a colour palette of chocolate brown, offwhite and flashes of apricot were set off by one or two metallic skater skirts designed appeal to a younger audience. A paint print in self colour or apricot - again - on white was the only sign of following the trend for soft focus shades set by some of the designers in New York. Strappy leather detailing around the bodice was extended into fashion fetish neckbands whilst beautiful beading added gloss to this polished collection. Bravo twins.
LFW Still Day 1 - Jean Pierre Braganza
Posted by The Fashion Bloggers on behalf of Krisp
Jean-Pierre Braganza is recognised for his collections’ hard rock and electro influence, as well as a noted predominance of black. Although black was again predominant for SS12 he combined it with apricot, creams and soft yellows. The collection had a distinctly classic feel to it with strong graphic prints and mannishly cut jackets adding bravura to an otherwise unremarkable but wearable catwalk show.

If you’ve not heard of Jean-Pierre his background includes an apprenticeship alongside Robert Cary-Williams going on to be the assistant four couturier Roland Mouret before releasing his own label in 2003.
London Fashion Week: Bora Aksu on the catwalk
Posted by The Fashion Bloggers on behalf of Krisp:
A leaf strewn catwalk aptly accessorised Bora Aksu's signature collection. Hugely feminine and hugely naughty with a touch of the fetish about it. His signature 'crewel' work made numerous appearances on transparent chiffon/satin mix pieces. Black stockings patterned to look ripped were the accessory du jour. These were clothes that will worn by celebrities wishing to create a stir but are unlikely to see the light of day on the street.
